Finished copy tour: The Juliet Spell by Douglas Rees [CLOSED SIGN-UP]

Title: The Juliet Spell by Douglas Rees
Pages: 304
Release Date: September 27th 2011
Published by: Harlequin Teen
Source: Editor (Thanks, Tashya!)

Summary:

I’m Juliet.

At least, I wanted to be.

So I did something stupid to make it happen.

Well, stupid and wonderful.

I wanted the role of Juliet more than anything. I studied hard. I gave a great reading for it—even with Bobby checking me out the whole time. I deserved the part.

I didn’t get it. So I decided to level the playing field, though I actually might have leveled the whole play. You see, since there aren’t any Success in Getting to Be Juliet in Your High School Play spells, I thought I’d cast the next best—a Fame spell. Good idea, right?

Yeah. Instead of bringing me a little fame, it brought me someone a little famous. Shakespeare. Well, Edmund Shakespeare. William’s younger brother.

Good thing he’s sweet and enthusiastic about helping me with the play...and—ahem—maybe a little bit hot. But he’s from the past. Way past. Cars amaze him—cars! And cell phones? Ugh.

Still, there’s something about him that’s making my eyes go star-crossed....

Will Romeo steal her heart before time steals him away?

This tour is open for sign-ups until midnight of Saturday, September 10. There are 5-8 available spots for the tour. Remember to read our Rules and Regulations page and sign-up as a reviewer first before you can join this tour.

Pinoy Book Tours officially exists!

You’re probably wondering what this site is for. What’s the purpose of this blog? And who are we? If you’ve caught a glimpse of our tweets in the past, you’ll know right away. But with millions of tweets being generated every single day, it’s not that likely. And we'll make it easy for you by putting all the info in this post! ;)

First, we’ll introduce ourselves. We are Precious and Kai - two pinay bloggers who have been in the YA blogosphere for more than a year now. We love YA. Find out more about us here: http://pinoybooktours.blogspot.com/p/about-us.html

Moving on to the story of how it all started…

It all started when Fragments of Life and Amaterasu Reads had begun to boom early this year. Kai and I were preparing and brainstorming for Dystopian Domination. Then Kai told me if I wanted to start a blog tour site for Filipinos. Of course, I said yes. But at that time I didn’t know much Filipino bloggers. But after she tweeted about a possible get-together of bloggers here in Manila, she was overwhelmed with the amount of tweets she got. And we realized, why not? We are fortunate enough to receive review copies from publishers in US, UK, Australia and Ireland. We might as well share the experience to other Filipino bloggers through this tour site.

The News:

Kai got a copy of The Juliet Spell from Harlequin Teen US! And that’s just the first book that we'll tour. More are coming! Tomorrow, we’ll be opening the tour for those who are interested. Bloggers should fill out the form first before signing-up for any tour.

To Filipino Bloggers:

Want to be a part of Pinoy Book Tours? You can sign up by filling out this form. Please read the rules and regulations.

Make sure that you double check before submitting it. If you have friends who are Pinoy reviewers and have an active Goodreads account or run a blog, do tell them about this site.
